I don't know, I'd say that's pretty self-explanatory.

To be perfectly honest (which is by the way one of the duties of those who wish to follow the Christ, who deny themselves and take up their crosses daily and follow Him), I'm not always perfectly honest.
Also, there is from time to time some happening in my life where I don't do what I know I should, or where I do what I know I shouldn't.
But I believe that, as we walk on the Path, led by the Guide, we're on a journey where we're moving from a place of me-centredness, to a place of being more and more deeply God and others-centred. I attribute this transition of will and desire and intention strictly to the Lord, and I'm thankful for the grace I stand and exist in.

I agree that we can sometimes be self-centered. But I wonder....can one be "self-ish" as an integral part of following the Way of Christ?

The other day I was reading Luke 8 : 40 --
Does anybody else find it significant or uncanny how the girl Jairus' daughter is 12 years old and dying, and at the same time, as Jesus is going to see her, a woman came up to Him in the crowd who had suffered from severe bleeding for 12 years, had spent all she had on doctors, and not been cured?
Isn't it something how the 12 is mentioned in both cases?
Does anybody have any teaching about this, or has anyone heard anything?
