book of interest
Anyone here read Keith Ward?
I just picked up a 'might-be-interesting' book titled _Re-Thinking Christianity_ at the library here, and I haven't finished it yet... but it IS turning out interesting, and I know I want to have my local study group take it up.
Guy is an Episcopal priest, if it matters to anyone here. I'm not ready to discuss the book as a whole, but I like things like: "So those, even in the New Testament, who still seem to long for a day of divine vengeance and hatred have not seen the true message of the cross." Surprising only in contrast to all the Christians who haven't yet seen this... and very refreshing, for me at the moment.
